Ceasefire: Riek Machar leaves Juba, withdraws troops
South Sudan’s first vice president Riek Machar has left Juba and also withdrawn his troops within the metropolis to outside of the country’s capital .
Machar’s spokesman James Gatdet Dak, confirmed this and adds that the action is to further ensure the ceasefire becomes a reality as it enters day three.
According to Machar’s spokesman James Gatdet Dak, the decision was taken to avoid further confrontation, saying he was in contact with Machar’s forces.
Meanwhile, machar’s spokesperson, James Gatdet whose false face book message allegedly sparked the violence that led to the deaths of 272 people in south Sudan has denied the allegation.
Gatdet says he sent the message several hours after the fighting broke out.
