While others are celebrating Valentine's Day, Nimi has a deep-seated hatred for her stepfather following what he did to her many years ago.

Crying-Woman Twinsmega

"Dear Pulse,

My name is Nimi, a 26-year-old lady. I have a sad story to tell on how my stepfather, a man I loved and respected so much raped me on Valentine's Day when I was 16.

As people look forward to the day every year to spend time with their loved ones, I have to battle with the demon that has refused to leave me alone and I make a new resolve to hate men with every bit of me.

I have so much hatred for men that if I have my way, I will kill every man I come across because of what one of them did to me.

I lost my father when I was 12 and after a few years, my mother decided to get married again so that she would have the security of a man around her.

My stepfather did everything to fill the vacuum our late father left and tried all he could to get me and my younger brother to see him as our father.

He took a special interest in me and was always buying things for me, taking me out and introduced me to his friends as his daughter.

He even went as far as buying my underwears and when I started menstruating, he would buy me sanitary pads.

He complimented me so much and at a point, mom was even jealous of our closeness but all that love turned into eternal hatred when I turned 16.

It was a day lovers celebrated the now dreaded Valentine's Day and mother had traveled to visit her sick sister and would not come back for some days. She had the belief that we were in the safe hands of her husband, not knowing the devil would get the better of him.

That night after dinner, he told me to take some fruit juice to him in the master bedroom.

It was not a strange request and that was not the first time he told me to take things to him even when he was alone.

Little did I know that my stepfather had something sinister he was planning for me. I wore my night gown that night as I was ready for bed when he sent me on the errand.

When I took the juice to him, he said I reminded him of my mother and that I would grow into a beautiful woman.

It was also not the first time he was heaping such compliments on me and I just smiled as I made to leave the room but he called me back.

When I got back into the room, he told me to close the door as he wanted to tell me something.

I closed the door and went to sit beside him on the bed and the first shock came when he started running his hands all over my body. I sprang up from the bed and was about running out of the room when he caught me, threw me to bed and proceeded to tear my night gown.

I was screaming and begged him to leave me but he would not listen.

My stepfather raped me that night, took my innocence and has turned me into a misandrist all my life.

After eh was done, he told me that if I ever tell anyone, he would kill me and the look in his eyes told me he meant what he said.

When my mother came back, I could not bring myself to tell her and instead, told her I wanted to go and stay with my father's sister.

After some days and seeing that I had made up my mind, she allowed me to go and live with my aunt.

I have not told anyone what my stepfather did to me 10 years ago but I have lived with the pain in my heart and I have been planning my revenge all these years and I know that I will have the opportunity of taking my vengeance some day.

Nimi."

Dear readers, after going through Nimi's story on Morning Teaser today, do you think she should forgive her stepfather and move on with her life?

A gang of four robbers who raped nine women in two weeks have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
Xmas-Gang

A four-man gang who specialized in robbing and gang-raping women have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), of the Lagos State Police Command, after they raped nine women in less than two weeks.

New Telegraph reports that the gang comprising of Saviour Daniel, 23, Daniel Olayemi, 18, Abdulwahab Yusuph, 17 and the gang leader, Sunday John, 27, operated at the Charity area of Oshodi in the metropolis.

While confessing to their crimes, one of the suspects, Olayemi, said that in the last two weeks, the gang has robbed 12 passers-by and raped no fewer than nine women in a bush at Charity Bus Stop.

“I have followed our leader, John, to more than 12 operations. We used to operate at Charity Bus Stop from 4:00 a.m. to 5:40 a.m. In our last operation, we attacked a 57-year-old woman.

She was passing by Charity Bus Stop. I snatched her handbag and disappeared into the bush. I came out of the bush to see three of my colleagues having sex with the lady.

I hid the best of the three phones I found in her bag. I disclosed to them that I saw two small phones and N8, 000.

We had, in a similar circumstance days before that, raped a 42-year-old lady at the same spot when we didn’t see any valuable from her bag.

We took turns to rape her, then, we allowed her to go. John used to take the initiative and the lead in the rape. He would drag the ladies into the bush before calling us to take turn. He is the leader of the gang.

None of us dare challenge him. He doesn’t share with us whatever we made from the robberies. That was why I stole the Samsung Tablet from that lady.

Yes, we also used to rob men. I participated in the robbery of about three men at the Charity Bus Stop. In all the instances, John took a commanding lead, seizing the victims and dragging them into the bush where we either rape or took their valuables.”

John, the gang leader on his part, said:

“In the last two weeks, we have robbed and raped nine women between ages 27 to 57. We used to drag them into the bush and took turns to rape them.

Our primary aim was to steal valuables, but I have been raping most of the victims after robbing them. It’s true that it was my idea, but we all took part.

After robbing the ladies, I dragged them into the nearby bush. If they are younger ladies, I carry them into the bush. Two weeks ago, I carried a lady into the bush.

After raping her, my members all ran away. They took all she had on her. Her dress was all messed up. I took her to where she cleaned up. She couldn’t even find her shoes.

I got new set of slippers for her before I gave her N500 for transport, to board a bus to Iyana Ipaja. Most of those we raped were between 24 to late 50s. We raped a mama last Sunday. She was in her late 50s.

We’re not the only gang that operates there; I know of three other gangs. Some groups of boys come from Agbado and Agege to operate at Charity Bus Stop. They used to operate in the evening.”

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, has confirmed the arrest of the suspects, saying they had been constituting a nuisance to the public and would be charged to court soon.

This December Nigerians banks have made it hard for millions of Nigerians to withdraw money from ATMs.

ATMs

Nigerian banks have had no chill this December especially within the last 7 days.
A week before Christmas several ATMs in Lagos had no cash in them or had one technical difficulty or the other.

When it was two days to Christmas it was really bad and on Christmas eve, it was a nightmare. In several banks, hundreds of people lined up to
withdraw their money for the holidays but Nigerians banks had other plans.

This however was not only a Lagos thing. According to social media, banks refused to allow people to withdraw via ATMs during this Christmas period.
Many people stuck in queues lamented why their banks would treat them like this especially during the holiday season when they needed their money the most.
ATMs1

Their cries and pleas fell on deaf ears and hundreds of people had to queue for hours just to withdraw their money.

This has been a normal occurrence during the holiday season. Nigerian banks
love to hold back money from people because they fear that their won't be any money left in their branches if people take out all their cash.

This year the situation was worse due to the cash crunch from the economic recession.

The long queues at ATMs will surely go on to the New Year when most people would have spent all their savings after spending hours in banks.
ATMs2

This situation reminds me of the popular Ponzi scheme MMM which announced that it was freezing operations in December due to some system overload of sorts.

Nigerian banks are sort of like MMM. They are basically withholding money from Nigerians who entrusted them with their savings. At the end of the day you could say they froze operations too.
MMMNigeria

I guess the fans of MMM were sort of right. The antics of most Nigerian banks led millions to invest in Ponzi schemes. Surprisingly, the CBN has always looked the other way during this period.

No bank has been sanctioned for its poor ATM services during holidays.

A young lady who allegedly stole a chicken to celebrate the Christmas with was given the most bizarre jungle justice imaginable.
Chicken-Thief

It was a show of shame in the Nnewi community in Anambra State after a young lady who allegedly stole a chicken to celebrate the Christmas was given the disgrace she would never forget in her life.

The young girl, according to a Facebook user, Precious Eze, the lady was caught while stealing the chicken on December 24, 2016, and in a jiffy, a crowd had gathered and after beating her mercilessly, she was stripped naked, made to tie the chicken around her waist and was paraded around the town in her nakedness.

Here is how Eze captured the scene:

“CHRISTMAS 2016 IN RETROSPECT.

Why Crave For What You Can't Afford?? ''VIEWERS DISCRETION PLS!

This happened in Nnewi, Anambra State on the 24th December 2016. She wanted to eat chicken on Christmas Day but couldn't afford it.....and decided to go STEALING.”

Is it by force to eat chicken on Christmas Day? Is there no fish in the market? Must one steal because you want to eat chicken? Even if you didn't see fish, couldn't this woman have paid a visit to someone's house if it's a must to eat chicken? Now, her pictures are going viral because of Christmas Chicken!”

In the past few weeks, Nigerians have been appalled at the way hungry petty thieves have been treated for stealing little things while people who loot the country are treated like royalty and given chieftancy titles to celebrate their ill-gotten wealth.

A female fraudster who forged the stamp of the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State and used it to dupe unsuspecting Nigerians has been arrested.

Olushola-Ogunleye-Isiaka-Adebeshin

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 42-year-old woman, Olushola Ogunleye, for allegedly forging the official stamp of the Ogun State Commissioner of Police and defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians of N5 million.

New Telegraph reports that the suspect was arrested by detectives attached to the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS), Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos, after several complaints were lodged to the widespread scam.

Apart from forging the Ogun CP stamp, the police also accused Ogunleye of forging the stamps belonging to the Ogun State Internal Revenue and state’s Chief Magistrate.

Also arrested was an allegedly accomplice, Isiaka Adebeshin, whom the police said worked with Ogunleye and others as a syndicate to perfect their scam.

However, while Ogunleye confessed to committing the crime and raking in over N5 million from the fraudulent business, Adebeshin said he was into the forging of driving licenses, number plates and other documents.

The police, in a statement, said the syndicate allegedly used the seals of authority to convince and dupe unsuspecting members of the public.

During interrogation, Ogunleye said:

“Some of the stamps were not mine. They were kept in my shop by my business partner, who is still at large. It was my business partner, Shakiru Gbolahan, who brought the stamps to my shop.

He used the stamps for his customers. I was later taught how to use it. I have not made much money from the business.

If we want to renew a driving license, we charge N10,000, but if we want to do a new one, we charge N15,000. Since I started this business I have made about N5 million only. I regret my action. It never occurred to me that I would be arrested.”

On his part, Adebeshin who vehemently denied the allegation of fraud, said they were arrested at Oke-Mosan in their shop.

“I don’t deal in stamps. Whenever a document that requires a stamp is brought to my shop, I would refer them to my colleague’s office. My colleague has different stamps.

Since I started the job three years ago, I have only made about N2 million. Most of the profits come from the issuance of number plates. I was about to quit the business when I was arrested.”

The ZIS Commander, Gbenga Megboope, said the suspects were arrested after the police received a series of complaints from affected victims from the public and would be charged to court after investigations.

A fake prophetess who specialised in giving unsuspecting people fake prophecies to defraud them has been arrested in Lagos.

Biola-Simon

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Biola Simon, who has been defrauding unsuspecting bank customers by giving them fake prophecies.

The suspect, a member of a syndicate operating in the Dopemu area of the state, was said to have been nabbed after a victim reported their activities to the police.

Punch reports that the Ibadan, Oyo State-born Simon, was arrested on Thursday, November 10, 2016, by the Dopemu Police Division, following complaints of swindling  the victim of the sum of N150,000, while her accomplices slipped from the police.

A police source at the Dopemu Police Division narrated that Simon and members of her gang posed as prophets who gave fake prophecies to unsuspecting victims and in the process, dupe them of their money.

“In her statement, she confessed that the syndicate’s mode of operation was to lurk around bank premises, while her role was to accost a bank customer suspected to be with money.

The suspect explained that she would pretend that she was new in Lagos and asked for direction from the victim.

Simon would subsequently make shocking spiritual revelations about her victim, after which she would advise that a special prayer must be offered for the victim.

The next move was to take the victim to a nearby place where the three other accomplices were waiting and they would replace the money withdrawn by the victim with disposable papers, covered with a few naira notes.

A man who the suspect tried to swindle on Thursday of N150,000 raised the alarm, and a police patrol team in the area apprehended Simon.”

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, has confirmed the arrest of the suspect, adding that the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has directed that the matter is investigated thoroughly and the suspect charged to court.

An aggrieved fraudster, Henry Ezechie, has landed himself and 6 others who he alleged to be kidnappers and fraudsters, in hot soup

The-suspects1

The-suspects

Police officers have arrested 7 fraudsters popularly referred to as 'yahoo boys', after a fight over a $7,000 deal.

The suspects were arrested on Saturday, September 3, at Ajah, after one of them identified as Henry Ezechie, feeling cornered in the deal he shared with one Kenneth Eric alias Biggie, made a report to the police alleging that the others were fraudsters and kidnappers.

Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence (SCIID), Panti-Yaba, reportedly stormed Eric’s home in Ajah and arrested Stephen Onwunama, Jacob Chukwuka and two others.

Two of the arrested parties, Onwunama and Chukwuka have denied being criminals, claiming that they were just Biggie's friends and regularly visited his home.

Onwunama claimed to be a Government worker in Delta State and was lying somewhere in the house when the police made the arrests.

“They found nothing on me. They searched my phones and laptop and they didn’t see anything that has to do with fraud in it. I was just visiting my friend and I have spent two weeks in his place. I was to go back to Asaba on Sunday before I was arrested on Saturday. I don’t know how it is an offence to be a friend to a fraudster."

After admitting that he had reported the case to the police, Ezechie expressed his anger over the fact that Biggie refused to give him his 80% share of the said sum.

He said, “Biggie is the one owing me. We had a $7,090 deal and he refused to give me my 80 percent share of the money and so, I took the payment slip to the police to report. We do yahoo business (Internet fraud). It was my deal. He is the picker and so, his share is 20 percent.

“Picker is the person who receives the money and sends to Nigeria. He has contacts in America who pick the money and send through money transfer. I have been doing this business for some years now to survive, but this was my major breakthrough and he refused to give me my money. It is dating that we do. We use Match, Facebook and other sites."

Eric who also admitted to being involved in Internet fraud denied being a kidnapper or defrauding Ezechie, claiming that the deal had fallen through.

“Henry alleged me. He gave me a transaction of N300,000 which did not click and he went to the police to claim that I was a kidnapper and a fraudster. He left what we were doing and started talking rubbish. Whoever gave him that receipt he took to the police was just deceiving him. I do Facebook loto. We tell victims that if they pay $800 they will win $100,000. Most of our victims are white people because they are greedy,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chukwuka also denied being a fraudster, claiming that he had gone to Kenneth's place when he heard the police was raiding it.

“I was at my house when I heard that the police were at Kenneth’s place to arrest him that he was a kidnapper and a fraudster. So, I went there with my younger brother to explain that I know him. That he was not a kidnapper. That’s how I was also arrested. I did not do anything wrong. I have never been a criminal in my life."

While parading the suspects, police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni disclosed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation was complete.

A Lagos-based pastor has asked a court sitting in the state to dissolve his marriage owing to his wife starving him of sex and food.

Divorce-Papers

A 39-year-old Lagos-based pastor, Andrew Ndubisi, has dragged his wife, Seraphina, to an Igando Customary Court sitting in the state, to seek the dissolution of his four-year-old marriage citing sexual starvation as his reason for seeking the divorce.

Pastor Ndubisi told the court that his wife was frustrating him as she starves him of sex and food at will, always coming up with flimsy excuses anytime he wants to make love to her.

In his evidence in chief, Pastor Ndubisi said:

“My wife (Seraphina) starves me of food and sex. She always gives excuses whenever I want to make love to her. Despite all my pleading, she will not allow me; my body is not a firewood or iron rod.

Apart from s*x, she also denies me food; she is a poor cook and hardly cooks. Whenever she does, it is either the food is too salty or watery. If I complain, she will take the food and dispose of it and she will never apologize. I used to buy food to eat or go hungry.”

Apart from the sexual starvation accusation, the pastor also accused his wife of infidelity and having affairs with other men.

“My wife is having an affair. On February 1, 2016, I called my wife with a new SIM I just bought. She never knew I who was calling and asked if it was because my wife was around that I refused to call or visit her.

It was then that I knew that my wife was having an affair. I refused to respond. I waited for her to do the talking and she started calling me sweet names and told me how much she loves and misses me."

"She insisted I should say something; I later revealed myself to her and she was shocked. Before I got home, she has packed out with our three-year-old daughter.

When she did not return for days, I reported at the police station; I also went to the radio and television stations including a newspaper, to place an announcement of a missing person.”
